WAITLIST OPEN · BETA IN WAVES
The operating system
for a card business.
It starts with one honest read — your card down to the exact parallel, insert, finish, and serial. From there it's clean inventory and real-comp pricing today, with chaos warehousing and one-click selling across channels rolling out next. Sports, Pokémon, and every major TCG.

IT STARTS WITH THE READ
The card every other scanner gets wrong.
The whole system hangs off one thing: naming the exact printing. Get that right and inventory, pricing, warehousing, and selling all line up. Get it wrong and every step downstream inherits the mistake.
Same player. Same set. Same card number. A 49× difference in value — and most scanners call it a coin flip.
zip.cards reads the printing, not just the name:
- Foil pattern
- Set symbol
- Serial number
- Border stock
Every field is validated against the real catalog — a set, number, and parallel that don't co-exist get rejected, not guessed.
THE WHOLE LOOP
Scan it once. The whole operation runs off that record.
One exact-printing read becomes the spine of everything: catalog it, value it, store it, sell it — no re-keying. Three of these run in the beta today; three are in active build.
Read to the exact printing
Snap a phone photo or drop a flatbed scan. It names the parallel, insert, finish, and serial — and hands back a ranked shortlist instead of a guess when a single photo can't be sure.
Scan straight into inventory
Every card becomes a clean record keyed to that exact printing. Search by serial, auto, or patch; pin saved views as one-click chips; publish a read-only share page with its own QR.
A comp for the exact card
A base and its Gold /10 pull different comps. Prices trace to live TCGplayer and CardHedger market data with a date and a source — and say so when comps are too thin to trust.
Any open bin, remembered
Put a card anywhere; an append-only ledger remembers where it landed. Findable the second it's scanned, before identify even finishes. Labels go on the bin, not every card.
List to your own eBay
Project a scanned card onto your own eBay account — parallel and print run already in the title. Orders, tracking, and payouts flow back, behind one stock count that won't double-sell a one-of-one.
Drive the scanner you own
A tiny tray app turns the duplex scanner on your shop PC into a one-click “Scan into this batch” button. Both sides of every card stream up live — nothing to configure behind a firewall.
PRICE · LIVE IN BETA
A comp for the exact card — or no number at all.
A base and its Gold /10 can differ a thousandfold, so zip.cards prices the parallel it actually read. Every figure traces to live market data with a date and a source — and when the comps are too thin to trust, it abstains instead of inventing a value.
- Two real sources — TCGplayer market feeds and CardHedger fair-market value — keyed to the exact printing, never the wrong parallel.
- Every price stamped with an as-of date and where it came from. No black-box number.
- Thin or disagreeing comps return nothing, with a reason — correctness over always showing a value.

TIP · On a thin comp it shows no number, with a reason — never a guess.

Findable the instant it's scanned — identify catches up a beat later. The bin wears one label; the cards don't.
WAREHOUSE · BUILDING NOW
Put it in any open bin. The database remembers where.
Cards are the textbook chaos-storage case: nearly every one is a different SKU and you hold one of it. So stop sorting. Drop a card in whatever bin has room, and an append-only ledger pins its location — the moment it's scanned, before identify even finishes.
- Located ≠ identified — a card is findable the instant it's scanned; pricing and ID run async.
- The label rides the container, not every card. A bin's QR is a stable short-code that never reprints when contents change.
- Location is a projection of an event log, so a mis-scan is fixed by appending — it always knows last seen where, by whom, when.
SELL · BUILDING NOW
From scanned to listed, on your own storefront.
Connect your own eBay seller account and the card you already scanned becomes a listing — the exact parallel and print run filled into the title for you. Orders, shipments, and payouts flow back into zip.cards, reconciled from the channel's own ledger.
- One shared stock count behind every channel — a one-of-one physically can't sell twice.
- Platform-agnostic by design: eBay first, with Shopify and a first-party storefront built into the seam.
- zip.cards never touches your money — channels run managed payments; we record intent and reconcile the ledger.
2026 Chromatic №136 Cracked Ice Silver /99 · Rookie
Sells on one channel → the count drops on all of them. A one-of-one can't list twice.
ORGANIZE · LIVE IN BETA
Every scan, already filed.
The exact-printing read isn't a label you have to clean up later — it's a structured inventory row the moment it lands. The spreadsheet gets to retire.
Keyed to the printing
A base, a reverse holo, and a /99 are distinct records — and re-scanning a card never duplicates it.
Search like a dealer
Query by serial /25, “auto”, or “patch”; filter graded vs raw; pin any combination as a one-click saved view.
Share read-only
Publish a filtered slice as a public web page with its own link and QR. No login for viewers, nothing they can edit.
ONE SCANNER, ONE LEDGER
Sports, Pokémon, and every major TCG — co-equal.
Each domain is validated against its own real catalog. Stop juggling a slabs app, a binder app, and a spreadsheet that each get half your collection wrong.

CORRECTNESS OVER EVERYTHING
It tells you when it isn't sure.
The same rule runs through the whole system. Identify can't separate two printings? You get a ranked shortlist. Comps too thin? No price, with a reason. Card scanned but not yet read? Located, in review — never lost. Most apps guess; that's the guess you discover at listing time.
“Built by a collector who got tired of scanners that can't tell silver from base. We'd rather say ‘not sure — here are the two it could be’ than quietly cost you money.”
Card identified — №136, 2026 Chromatic. Two printings remain:
- Holo87%
- Reverse Holo11%
- Base2%
TIP · Angle the card toward the light so the foil pattern catches — one more photo settles it.
QUESTIONS
The fine print, minus the fine print.
Is the whole system live yet?
Identification, inventory, and pricing run today in the private beta — that's the part you can use the moment your wave opens. Chaos warehousing, multi-channel selling, and the desktop scanner bridge are in active build; waitlist members get them as each ships. We badge every feature on this page so you always know what's real now versus what's coming.
When does it open?
Beta opens in waves, earliest signups first. Cohorts stay small so identification feedback gets acted on fast before the next wave goes out.
Which cards does it cover?
Sports (baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer and more), Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, One Piece, and the wider TCG long tail — down to parallels, inserts, serial numbers, and finishes. Coverage is deepest where the catalog is richest; it's breadth across every major game, not a guarantee of every obscure promo.
How accurate is it, really?
We won't quote a naked percentage — collectors have heard “99% accurate” before. The app shows separate confidence for the card and the printing on every scan, abstains with a shortlist instead of guessing, and we'll publish our test methodology when beta opens.
Where do the prices come from?
Live market data — TCGplayer market feeds (refreshed every 30 minutes) plus CardHedger fair-market value — pinned to the exact parallel you scanned, with a date and source on every figure. When the comps are too thin or don't agree, it returns no number rather than inventing one. It's a market estimate, not a guaranteed sale price.
I run real volume — is this built for shops?
Yes. The same exact-printing record is the backbone for chaos warehousing (any card in any open bin, found the instant it's scanned), one stock count that can't double-sell a one-of-one across channels, and a desktop bridge that drives the duplex scanner you already own. Those are the pieces in active build — join the waitlist and you're in line for them as they land.
Phone or a real scanner?
Both. Snap a photo with your phone, or feed a flatbed / ADF card scanner — a clean scan gives the highest accuracy, especially on foils and serials. Either way the identical identification, pricing, and cataloging path runs, and your inventory is there in any browser.
Can I share my inventory?
Yes — filter your inventory into a saved view and publish it as a read-only public page with its own link and QR code. Viewers don't need an account, and they can't edit it.
Will scanning be metered?
There'll be paid tiers eventually — but no 100-scan bait-and-switch. Joining the waitlist is free, and founding members lock in the most generous scanning tier we'll ever offer.
Get in before wave one fills.
Beta opens in small cohorts so identification feedback stays tight. Founding members — collectors and shops alike, the earliest to join — lock in the most generous scanning tier we'll ever offer.
